Sony has confirmed on the Japanese PlayStation website that Killzone: Shadow Fall will be released in the region on February 22nd, the same day as the PS4, and will come with exclusive content in the region.

Japanese players will be able to access region-exclusive OWL drone skins and collaborative content which will be unavailable elsewhere. It's currently unclear exactly what that will be however.

Shadow Fall will also have dubbed voices in multiplayer with Shuichi Ikeda, Hochu Otsuka, Yuko Kaida, Tomokazu Sugita, Fumihiko Tachiki, Atsuko Tanaka, Kenyu Horiuchi, and Norio Wakamoto lending their acting talents to the game.

We awarded the game a 7/10 rating in our review which lauded the graphics and multiplayer of Shadow Fall while criticising the single player component and in particular the later stages of the game.

Sony has also now released the first commercial for the PS4 in Japan which you can watch here.
