Two brand new Kirby games are about to hit the 3DS eShop in Japan on July 23: Kirby Fighters Z and Dedede's Drum Dash Z. No, the denizens of Dream Land haven't powered up and started shooting Kamehamehas! These are expanded versions of the two minigames featured in the recent Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
Kirby Fighters Z is a four-player free-for-all that plays similarly to Super Smash Bros. It features all the same Copy Abilities as the original Kirby Fighters, but if you own a copy of Triple Deluxe, you'll gain access to the Bell and Beetle powers as well. There's a single-player mode, boss battles, five new stages, and an unlockable Shadow Kirby. Like the main version, it sadly lacks an online mode.
Dedede's Drum Dash Z is a rhythm game starring the sometimes-villain penguin King Dedede. You'll gain seven additional stages over the original version plus seven super hard "ura" stages as well as unlockable masks, including Kirby, Waddle Dee, and Meta Knight masks if you own Triple Deluxe.
Both games will set buyers back 750 yen each (just over $7). There's no reason to believe these won't come Stateside eventually, so keep your eyes peeled.
